Authentic and family-run Spanish Tapas Bar

At La Rueda, there is a unique dynamic between the kitchen, the front of house team and the customer.

Our owners David and Paula Hasani, who acquired the family-run business in January 2020, are rightly proud of their enthusiastic staff who have drive and passion and want to work in an energetic and friendly restaurant environment.

David said: “I have been a regular here, at my favourite restaurant for twenty years so how could I miss the opportunity to buy it?”

Our chefs

Head chef Jose Luis and his sous chef Roman Sentoso, originally from Galicia, have been working their magic together in our busy kitchen for fifteen years.

He said “We pride ourselves on consistency, we promise the dishes will taste as good ten days ago as they did ten years ago!

Roman refuses to give too much away about the origins of his signature dish:

“People always come back for another plate of my paella,”He grins.“But it was my mother’s secret recipe.”

Our Front of house

Front of house manager Bruno Costa came to London from Portugal with dreams of becoming a rock star.

But his love of hospitality has since overtaken his passion for drumming, and he says: “I want every customer to feel how I would want to feel walking into a seafood restaurant in Spain – the smell of the sizzling prawns and the paprika from the octopus which are perfect with a large glass of Spanish wine!

“We mix the traditional atmosphere with modern food which guarantees everyone is super happy!”
